Support our 2025 campaign:
a new minibus for a new generation
Since 1910, 1st Twyford Scout Group has been a welcoming and inclusive community, proudly serving Twyford and the surrounding area. We believe scouting is for everyone—regardless of gender, race or background—and we’re committed to helping young people gain skills for life in a safe, fun and inspiring environment.
Thanks to our incredible team of passionate volunteers, we run eight weekly meetings across Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts at our HQ in Twyford. In January 2025, we were thrilled to welcome our very first Squirrels, expanding our reach to even more young people. Today, we support over 180 young people every week.
But scouting doesn’t stop at our HQ. Our volunteers also organise and support a wide range of activities, events and camps across Berkshire and beyond. These adventures require careful planning—and reliable transport.

Why we need your help
We rely heavily on our two minibuses to transport young people, volunteers and equipment safely. However, one of our vehicles is now showing its age and nearing the end of its useful life.
That’s why we’ve launched our 2025 campaign to raise £35,000 for a new, lighter, more fuel-efficient minibus—with wheelchair access—to ensure every young person can take part in our adventures.
